Aide: Obama doesn’t think tea partiers are racist

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Sunday that the president doesn't think growing conservative anger directed at the administration is being motivated by the color of the president's skin.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Sunday that the president doesn't think growing conservative anger directed at the administration is being motivated by the color of the president's skin.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A day after tens of thousands of conservatives gathered in Washington to protest the policies of the Obama administration, a top White House aide said that President Obama doesn’t think the protests and the growing conservative movement against Obama are motivated by racism.

“I don’t think the president believes that people are upset because of the color of his skin,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union.

Pointing to the upcoming first anniversary of the collapse of investment banking giant Lehman Brothers, Gibbs said he thought the anger directed at the administration stems from the federal government’s unprecedented intervention in the private sector during the financial crisis that began last fall.

“We’ve had to do some extraordinary things, both this administration [and] the previous administration, to rescue the financial system, to ensure that our domestic auto industry didn’t go out of business, and to stimulate the economy,” Gibbs said.

“This rhetoric often gets way too hot,” Gibbs added, “I think what we have to all do is take a step back, take a deep breath and remember who we’re here to represent: millions of Americans that have health insurance but are watching their premiums double.”

Where are the protesters against the illegal war in Iraq? Why they have not protested knowing over on trillion has been spent in that war and another trillion will be spent over the long run.

I think these people are all crazy, selfish, ignorant and hateful. Who in his right mind would protest about policies that will help them “the protesters”

Most are on Social Security, Medicare or Medicare and those are all social policies. Do they not realize they are protesting against the same hand that feed them? I think they are a shameful lot who prefer spending their children birth right on wars that is of no logical meaning or worth; rather, preferring to loose their kids for unjust reasons. The bottom line is that are simply hatefull people with no good agenda.

in response to moveon.org, the article being commented on is about Obama NOT crying racism! Do you understand that? And God knows the republicans never tell a lie. They’re totally up front about their weapons of mass destruction, various affairs (straight and gay) and concern for human life;ie make sure a baby is born safely, and then start killing them in senseless wars . Please stop wagging your little moral fingers at the liberals until you get your own mess of a house in order!

One of the main lessons that these right wing “Christian” racists need
to learn is that god did not create this country for white people only when
they gather in mobs to declare “I want my country back”.

Their motives are obvious to everyone who is capable of cerebral thinking. And what a shame it is being unleashed on one of the
greatest presidents in our history.

Where was all this rage when our previous Commander-in-Chief blew our surplus?

“It’s hilarious to see the liberals cry “racism” when they can’t answer the actual criticism. Typical of liberal democrats to whine and call names, when they immediately don’t get their way. They are like children who think they know everything, but in reality they don’t know jack. What’s the matter liberals? Are you upset that people are calling you out and exposing your lies to the rest of the world?”

WHO’S CRYING ABOUT NOT GETTING THEIR WAY??? The GOP lost the election, the dems are in power, yet the right makes demands, obstructs, stalls, bribes, cries and complains at every turn, gives ultimatums,… give your head a shake DUDE!!!

Everyone has the right to thier own views. One gentleman said that the President was surrounding himself with ” His Kind” I’m pretty open minded, just not sure how to take that. The notion that some people feel tey have to take thier country back. Where did it go, and who are you taking it back from. I do belieive that racism still exist in this country and at least one person who is anti- Obama and was at the tea party is blinded by color. There are good people of all races in this country, having said that there are also people of all races with serious issues about people of other colors.

These are the types that abandoned our cities so they didn’t have to send there kids to schools with black people, let alone pay taxes for there education. They then set up private schools when illegals and blacks infiltrated there rural enclaves. And they are absolutely petrified at the thought of people of color having any say or prescence in there church.

It’s O.K. to have ringers play point guard or wide receiver at ‘Bama or Ole Miss and they’ve accepted blacks in hotels, restraunts and public transit but the line for them is schools and church. The code is I don’t want to pay taxes for other peoples schools and I don’t want them in my church. It’s that simple.

Racist? More like seperatist and a failure to accept assimilation. They have there own music (country), sport (NASCAR), schools and church and they don’t want anyone to tread on that.

Once again, the President chooses to rise above the fray and seek out the better qualities in our nature……. whether this is realistic or not.
In reality, these angry groups are starting to look more like the early rallies to build Naziism in Germany-people who were disgruntled with their economic and social status, and needed to blame someone else for the effects of the 1930s depression.

In the U.S., Franklin Roosevelt used federal stimulus money to support the economy, just as Bush and Obama have done. This was not always popular, but it maintained our democracy.

In Germany, Hitler came to power as a puppet master who told the people that they should blame their government for all of their problems. The Nazis scapegoated anyone who did not reflect the Aryan ideal [white skin, blue eyes] and built the war machine that killed over 6 million Jews and launched World War II.

It’s obvious those who attend these rallies are not independent-thinkers, nor do they know their own history. Loaded weapons? Swastikas? All they’re missing is the brown shirts. Is this the new face of America???

Bless you, Mr. Obama, and I don’t know how you do it, day after day, being positive and not seeing the hatred toward you by many, many white Americans. I am white and live in Mississippi, and I can tell you, every person I know who doesn’t like the President has called him every ugly racial slur you can think of, all the while yelling about socialism, taxes, and welfare queens. I cannot talk to these people any longer, I have pretty much written them off. Say what you will, for whatever reason, but denying the racial undertones of this movement will not change what’s going on in the minds of many, many whites in America, particularly in the South.

I am so sick and tired of being told I am a racist because I disagree with our president’s politics. I am tired of being demonstrated as an ignorant redneck because I am against government intervention into our health care system. You people can’t honestly be objective about any policies that are put forward by this administration. I think that you democrats are nothing but a bunch of sheep because you just soak up anything that the Democratic Party says or puts into some pretty puff piece of an advertisement. As a republican I am cautious of government because I believe that I know how to take care of myself better than some federal government who has no idea of my individual needs. I am skeptical about this health care reform because the president promises to make all these changes with only higher taxes of the wealthy, those who actually supply the jobs in this country. Anyone who thinks that there is any way that he can pass this HUGE piece of legislation without adding anything to our horrible deficit is totally blind. We are just continuing to put more of a burden on future generations for the mistakes of previous generations. Take a look at Ireland, they just passed almost the exact type of health reforms that we are hoping to pass and health care is now taking up about 60% (this percentage given by their health minister) of their national budget. How are we going to find that kind of room in our budget?

Jules wrote: “Racism is not a conservative value. Aspiration and greatness are conservative values. …”

Actually, the Republican Southern strategy was invented by Dick Nixon (the best Republican president of the 20th century). When Lyndon Johnson rammed the Civil Rights bill through Congress in 1694, life-long Southern Democrats turned into Republicans. They understood what Nixon and Agnew meant by “States’ Rights”. It meant that the federal government should not be allowed to integrate the South. We all know that, unless we have never read a history book. Racists joined Libertarians, Goldwaterites, Corporatists, and Protestant Fundamentalists to form the current Conservative Coalition – an unholy alliace it ever one existed.

What Conservative voters do not realize is that our Conservative leadership has no intention of implementing any of the values they speak about. If you follow the money, you will see that Corporate Boards fund Conservatism as a tactic. Conservatism seeks to neutralize the federal government because it is the only force powerful enough to regulate global corporations. Protecting the wealth of the wealthy is the only goal of Conservatism.

As for you and me, our value is only in voting for Conservative candidates despite the fact that our quality of life will suffer as a result. We are also valuable as big spending consumers and low wage employees. That is it.

How could anyone think otherwise. The American people only want answers that have not been forthcoming. The health program he insists on is just as non-producing as has been his birth records.

-60,000 to 70,000 Glenn Beck followers protesting in DC don’t have any right to stop the American government to protect its people in need, including the 50 millions uninsured who are exposed to death in case of serious illness.
-If they don’t want the American government to be involved in their business, it is up to them. The rest of us need the government to protect us against powerful corporations abuses. If the government isn’t involved in our lives, people would be doing anything they want, killing each other, abusing their spouses and children, and so on.
-Bill Maher is not the only one who believes that we, as Americans, are dump. The GOP leaders also have the very same view. Otherwise, they will not make their followers protesting against their own interests, which is also against the well being of their children and grandchildren. Obviously, those protesters don’t know that they are fighting for the insurance companies and against themselves.
-If President Obama keeps waiting for the group of six or any GOP who would pretend to support the bill, he would be waiting until the end of his term.

You libs are going to use the race card whenever you face opposition, granted. Are you too stupid to see this vanguard of socialism in the socialized healthcare, or do you actually want a soviet style America? Barry doesn’t care that you don’t have insurance. Wake up.

This president, is too classy to call these nuts racists. But, you can judge them for yourself, as most of the world has, they’re racists. Look at the crowds, made up of mostly loud, ignorant, threating white people. White people who can’t fancy the idea of a black man being president, after all the years of having only white men. How many minorities do you see in these crowds? It doesn’t look like this America. It does look like the America, when these same type of screamers were trying to blocking black students from entering the University of Mississippi. These are the people the media needs to pay less attention to. If the president’s speech, was somehow threating to school children to hear, then these crazy people should never be shown, as they are a threat to any civilized country !

In the minds and hearts is exactly what the people think that Politcians do “you lie” Just look the mess we are in..

FOR TOO LONG THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN AFRAID TO SPEAK-OUT

The time to speak up and out is now or never..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama has not reached out to Republicans he shut them out.
I am sick of seeing him on TV. Gibbs is a moron. Obama has spent more than all the other presidents combined.

“red neck peckerwood T Bagers”

“I sincerely believe that the people who are participating truely believe that their lives are crap and are looking for somebody to blame. “

“they are dellusonal, uneducated NUTCASES”

These are some quotes I just took from this thread of comments. This kind of bullying is extraordinarily devisive, and it is not representative of the group of people I personally saw in the Tea Party march on Capital Hill yesterday.

I was a part of a massive crowd of people from every walk of life. Families with children, doctors, physically challenged in wheelchairs, elderly, teens, rich, poor and middle income.

As with every large event, those with extreme views can be in attendance, but overall the people I observed were reasonable, rational, and not what are described on this commentary board.

As for myself… I am a Democrat. I do not ever listen to the political rabble-rousers on TV or the radio… from either side of the aisle.

My actions and decisions come from my own ability to think and reason and ARE NOT handed to me by TV, Radio, or PAC.

I think the cfonservative groups usually consist of people who can afford to spend more money as they have more money to spend. That is why they can go to different places to demonstrate and claim to state the facts when in fact they the one fabricating lies. Joe Wilson was wrong on the house floor and is wrong now to suggest that the illegal aliens are covered in the healthcare bills. Asking for verification of status to get medical help is demeaning even for a citizen (how will Joe Wilson feel if he is asked to give proof of his citizenship all the time). Also, how will he feel if he is the one who does not have insurance? Mr. Wilson, you were wrong whern you said those words and you are wrong now. Also, it is clear that when you apologized, you did not mean it as is evident from your later statements. Shame on you!!!

Calling President names is rude and anti-American. Demonstrations are good if they stay with the facts. Healthcare reform is not taking money away from any one individual. We are already paying that money. The issue is to provide everyone healthcare insurance. These conservative demonstrators should think about that: what will happen if their riches banish in a day and they need healthcare? Where will tehy go? If they go to the emergency services of a hospital, which they will, surely it will be at the Government (and hence Taxpayer’s) expense. So what is the difference? These prople need to get that clearly before proceeding to demonstrate and call our President names.

Let us be true to the American Character that President Obama defined. These demonstrations do not show the American Character. Or, have we lost that character as well?

All of this anti-government invective runs the risk of corroding the fundamental belief in our democratic, representative government. Listen people, the situation in the US today is NOT analogous to the British North American colonies in 1773. We have representation in our parliament.

Why is it that whenever someone DISAGREES with the great O they are called names: Racist, bigots, wingnuts, nazi, even anti american? It seems only the donkeycrats are allowed free speech. Obuma is a liar when he says what he does about deathcare plan. READ it for yourself – it will scare you. Don’t just believe what politicians are saying.

Obama’s correct. The major thrust of this tea bag stuff is the strong action taken to deal with our economic malaise. BUT with an undeniably racist element to it. How else can you get around the birthers, Obama is a Muslim, hysterical reaction to Obama speaking to students, etc? These arguments just don’t stand on their own legs. I think they’ll self destruct with this personal vitriol with evident racist undertones unless the movement can weed out this element.

Should we be relieved that Obama doesn’t believe, in this instance, that these dissenter are not racist? Will race always be a wild card to use against the opposition? Obama is our first truly racist president and wanna be dictator.

Of course it’s racism. Conservatives can’t come straight out and say we don’t want a black man leading the country so they attack his policies and everything else they can think of. They aren’t as subtle as they think and the rest of us are quite tired of their hate and ignorance.

The people of this country and not only right wing christian conservatives are waking up to Obama’s agenda. Czars, Van Jones, ACORN. What is not to like about Obama? He was elected by stupidity and will go down in history as the worst president ever. He has no experience and it shows.

Oh, I don’t know. Uncivil. Disrespectful. Regressive. Dangerous. Shrill. Misguided. Religiofascists. Emotionally driven. Ideologues. Misinformed. Stubbornly ignorant. Manipulated. Zombie-cons. Duplicitous. Morally conceited. Pavlovian. Tin foil hat party.

Racist.

Pick a term, all fit the modern day conservative.

Where are the Eisenhower republicans, the people who earned respect instead of just demanding it?

I think we will find before this is all over how much racism still exists here in America. Before the wound can be healed, the puss must rise to the top.

Obama is right. The movement was not motivated by racism, but the Tea Party is racist. The Tea Party does not represent the moderate Republicans, people like me (independent), or Democrats. They represent the CEO who paid them to protest and the CEO is supported by the extremists.

CNN get your reporting right. I was at the tea party in DC yesterday and there were close to 1 Million people there, not tens of thousands. Just because we don’t like the President’s agenda does not mean we are racists. There was not talk of race at the tea party yesterday. The only mention of race yesterday I heard was from a woman who was driving bye the protest in a cab yelling at the protestors that we all hated american and are racist. So the only people bringing race into the debate is the liberals who have no knowledge of the thought process of those who protest.

I think these guys are right to try and get their voices out. I mean some of them probably dont like a blackman in office but this isn’t racisum. Im concerned about federal spending but even the motto Taxed enough already is BS. You will never bring down the deficit if you keep cutting taxes and still expect things like schools roads clean water to be provided. The real monster in you government is the Pentagon and defense you cut that back and we can cut spnding quick $44000 an hour to fly one fighter jet.

to Lisa Meyers,

We held an election last year; your side lost. Deal with it!

FYI the only empty suit was voted out of the Whitehouse last year. You know the one that Republicans were perfectly fine with when he was bailing people out and creating record debt due to spending money on a war we were lied into. Now all of a sudden a Democrat wants to spend money on Americans and they are taking to the streets. You can spend all the money you want on killingpeople and but spend money on making our country better and you’re a socialist who spends too much. Reagan is their hero even though he ran up record deficits, raised taxes, made it possible for illegal immigrants to receive the emergency room care that we all have to pay for and had 12% unemployment. Did Republicans protest? No. He’s a celebrated figure in their party. That should tell you something.

poor President Obama tries to play the nice guy too much and it’s going to come back and bite him. He’s tried to be mister nice with the GOP and they have closed their fist to his open hand. He has tried to be open to the far right and all they are trying to do is make him fail. And now he can’t seem to see what part of this teabagger deal is all about. Maybe the WH is sheilding him from some of the racists signs, t-shirts, and chants that some of these people are doing. Mister President it’s sad to say but some of these Americans do not like you because you are NOT WHITE and it doesn’t take another Black person just to see it. Take off the rose colored glasses and see it what it really is. But then again I suppose the WH can’t really come right out and say that.

While racism certainly is the motivation for some Teabaggers, for most their motivation is simply stupidity and a desire to be part of the latest political freak show.
The idiot conservatives became too accustomed to running the show during the Bush years. They reveled in Bush’s stupidity and Cheney’s evil and when faced with the fact that the nation has rejected them and their philosophy they are filled with rage and fear.
They better get used to it.

Well of course they’re racist. There was no outcry over the last president’s squandering of a budget surplus, and his increasing the national debt enormously. There was not outcry when he invaded a country that had absolutely no ties to 9/11. To see a social security and medicare receiving teabagger screaming about govt. assistance and socialism shows just how ignorant and intolerant these people are.

Its not that they are against government handouts, they just don’t want others (poor and minorities) getting the same benefits they are. I’m paying for these morons health care right now. Give up your government run health care and income, and then come talk to me.

Because the President is the President, he cannot just come out and accuse a group of racism but I can and many others can and are calling these actions cats of racism. There is no hiding it. People are being so open about these racist acts that even Stevie Wonder can see them.

I think sometimes about how the world used our country to show how one can go from the fields of hate and segregation to the open society we have here and when we elect a President of “Mixed Heritage”, the bowels of this nation open up and show all the ugly that has been hiding just below the surface. It’s like the 50’s and 60’s where Whites saw a person of Mixed Heritage and because it was Black and White, they were automatically grouped with Blacks. Little or no choices were given unless the person and both parents were very fair complexioned. Nothing has changed today. President Obama is a Black man because his skin is dark. How would things have been different had he been fair skinned with a Black father?

The world is looking at our nation now and saying that we are not the world leading nation we made ourselves out to be. We are a nation not unlike South Africa except that we had many high tech advantages they didn’t. Jack Cafferty asked the other day if we are headed in the direction of becoming a Third World Nation. Well no we aren’t. We already are a third world nation and it is not the nation that did it. What makes us a Third World Nation is our people. We have become as unruly, arrogant, mean, drug addicted society of people that are no longer abiding by our own rules and laws. We have allowed big business to come into our lives and rule for the sake of their greed and now they lead us in any direction they desire as long as it increases their profits. Today is a sad day in World History for today is one of the last days of our world as we, a civilized people, know it.

Republicans can make as much noise as they want at town halls and even when the president is addressing the nation but know this, should the economy recover, and it will, you have no hope of winning in 2012. What are you going to run on? The only thing I can think of are death panels and how much you think that the president is not really a US citizen … and I’m being serious. I can’t think of any alternatives that Republicans have proposed. This is why though the presidents approval rating has dropped Republicans approval rating has not risen. When I think Republican I think Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and her “Obama wants to kill your grandmother”. Seriously? That’s all you’ve got? Goodluck!

President Obama is an extremely smart man. He knows exactly the
real motives of these “tea bagging posers”.

He’s just too intelligent to be drawn into a race battle by the media.

Yes, he knows WHAT they are all right. He will just use his brilliance to
beat them at their own game.

As usual.

I’m really tired of hearing the “take back our country” rant. Why are Americans like goldfish when it comes to history??? The USA was built by immigrants. Its not a “white” country. The whites are immigrants that slaughtered the “real” Americans.

Obama is hoping to defuse this with a minimum of trauma. But you can bet the men and women in law enforcement aren’t happy when they read ” In Louisville, Kentucky, two young men in camouflage fatigues roamed the crowd trying to recruit new members for their militia called the Ohio Valley Freedom Fighters. They bear signs reading “AK-47s: today’s pitchfork” and “Quit worrying. Start your militia training today.” In Jackson, Michigan, a young man didn’t need a sign. He was carrying the real thing: A loaded AK-47 assault rifle and two loaded handguns. “I don’t want a revolution. I don’t want a civil war,” he said. “But it is a possibility. It’s there as an option, as a last resort.”"

Unlike the protesters at Kent State, these Tea Party folks are armed and dangerous.

jules sand-perkins wrote: “Racism is not a conservative value.
Aspiration and greatness are conservative values.”

I must disagree with Jules.

First: Racism is a big part of Conservatism. As Lyndon Johnson said when he rammed the Civil Rights Bill through Congress in 1964, “I’m afraid we’ve given the South to the Republicans for the rest of my lifetime.” Because Democrats integrated the South, integrated Southern hospitals with Medicare, integrated the voting booth, colleges, public schools, and every other major part of Southern life, many Southern Democrats switched to Republicanism with Dick Nixon in 1968. They hide their racism behind the “States’ Rights’ clause of the Constitution as we all know. They certainly don’t propose any anti-racist laws at the state or local level. They argue against them – always. Racists have joined with Corporatists, Libertarians, Protestant Fundamentalists, and Goldwaterites to form the unholy alliance we call American Conservatism. It is the most dangerous force in America, and the greatest threat to liberty.

Second: Conservatives aspire to greatness only in their rhetoric, unless you are referring to the great fortunes of the wealthy class. Pay absolutely NO attention to what Conservatives say. They don’t ever try to implement any of that stuff. Watch what the DO. Follow the money. When Conservatives actually take action, it is to protect and enhance the wealth of the top 5% of American families. The only function of Conservatism as a political force is to prevent government from solving any of America’s problems. The upper class has no problems and they don’t acknowledge the problems of the middle and lower classes.

Conservatism is a synonym for class warfare.

I disagree with that notion. I believe that the President and his aides are either naive, or they are being careful as not to stir the hornet’s nest. To say that an overwhelmingly white conservative base does not despise the President because he is black is completely false. I am sure there are some conservatives who genuinely disagree with Obama’s policy, but the vast majority of conservative Republicans are extremely upset that a black man won the Whitehouse over a white war hero. I have seen it with my own eyes. The economic deregulation perpetuated by the previous administration that was largely supported by conservative Republicans was a major contributor to our financial crisis. Now, we have a Democrat in office who is in many cases being blamed for the fallout he inherited and on top of that, is black. I think that Obama knows that race is an issue, and will be throughout his presidency. His statement to the contrary was simply one of appeasement. Ignoring the issue of race and focusing on the tasks at hand to fix the real problems that Americans face could contribute to success overall, regardless of how many conservative Republicans pray for his failure.

I totally think the majority tea partiers are racist, the most apparent thing I’ve noticed in this world is that dumb white people hate any one that’s not like them…and I’m a white person. Tea Partiers tend to be part of the baby boomer crowd, and though they had the hippies in the 60’s and 70’s, a good chunk of them are racist biggots.

Obama may not think this lunatic fringe is racist, but I do! At least a good majority of these protestors are racist idiots. Just look at their signs and observe their behavior.

Let me get this straight……all the protesters are Fox watching lunatics, uneducated and racists. However ACORN and the all the union membership and minority voters are primarily composed of great intellectual minds and all cast their vote for the greater good of the country. In addition to the aforementioned voter bloc, our esteemed unbiased college professors, mainstream press, & Hollywood elite (curious to see Sean Penn’s college transcript…aaah but I digress) have it all figured out too. Got it now……wow I am glad we settled that. Oh,,,,one last thing which is baffling me…….. I am curious about the Code Pink , Dixie Chicks, Springsteen, and Move-On.org war protesters…..they seem to be in short supply….I am looking high and low and the streets are empty yet the body count keeps rising in Obama’s Afghanistan War. I know those deep thinkers are not biased in their thinking and they too only have the best interests of the country in mind and not partisan politics. Maybe the Boss & the Dixers are barnstorming Kabul with their bands to support the troops. In which case I apologize. LOL.

Most Americans are mad because: Endless wars, bailouts to wall Street, Torture, Spying, Socialism, fascism, Lies,

Then, where was your outrage when all of this was going on under the last administration?? Where was your outrage when Cheney;s reaction to 75% of the population being against the war was “So?” I’ll bet you supported the millions of anti war demonstrators that opposed going to war in Iraq which is costing us a billion dollars a week, right? Where was the outrage when Hank Paulson wanted to hand out the first bailout package in August of 2008 with no oversight and no questions asked? Let’s face it, if this same health care proposal was being presented by the prior administration, there would be nary a peep from these tea bagging morons. They are the epitome of hate, fueled by ignorance.

So it was ok for the left to call Bush Hitler, war criminal and murderer. It was ok for Nancy Pelosi and her friends on the steps of Capital Hil to say the most appalling things about him , it was cute to all of those who opposed Bush. No comment by Keith Olberman was too much. But now you have folks who have probobly never protested in their lives excersizing their civil rights to protest and its an outrage and they must be racists. Boy oh boy I dont know how you folks can say this stuff with a straight face.
I am not a racist but I do not like the march towards socialism. Health care is not a civil right. I do not feel like spending more of my tax dollars and here is a crazy idea I actually do pay copious amounts of federal tax dollars as opposed to 40% of Americans who do not .
So it the only way to defend the Presidents positions against his opponents to call them racists is really sad. Says you really cant defend his position if this is the best you can do.

Don’t be so naive about what’s in these peoples minds – or try to be patronizing to these jackbooted teabaggers.

I’m a white guy who was raised in the south in the late 50’s and early 60’s – I know for a fact that thinly disguised racists call themselves teabaggers, birthers, tenthers or Birchers as “white man’s” code to gin up anger, hate and ultimately violence against ALL people of color.

These people are racists, pure and simple. Don’t try and sugar coat it in an effort to be “bipartisian” or “inclusive” of everyones opinion to this radical fringe. They’ll just hate Obama more because of his skin color, they’ll think you’re weak and all you will succeed in doing is turning up the volume on their stench spewing hate machine.

Racism is the hidden brown stain on some Americans underwear. Don’t think you can talk like it isn’t there, you have to point it out and use the stain remover of shame and mockery to get rid of it…

It’s hilarious to see the liberals cry “racism” when they can’t answer the actual criticism. Typical of liberal democrats to whine and call names, when they immediately don’t get their way. They are like children who think they know everything, but in reality they don’t know jack. What’s the matter liberals? Are you upset that people are calling you out and exposing your lies to the rest of the world?

This is the race card page from Obama’s playbook. Remember during the election when Dems continually warned that McCain & Reps would try to frighten voters with racism, and then Obama kept talking about how he didn’t believe racism would be part of the election? By the Dems and Obama continually talking about race (in good cop – bad cop fashion), they intentionally keep the issue alive — even though NO ONE else was talking about it. NO ONE in the tea parties is concerned in the least with race. It is only the Dems trying desperately to invent this issue (e.g. Garafalo’s irresponsible comments) as a diversion, since they are losing badly on the issues.
